Question: What Should I do?

My first idea is to continue expanding my current TikTok account where I post lifestyle/ Travel content. I have gained a small following on this platform however I am intrigued to learn the ins and outs of creating regular content that will reach larger groups of users. With this project I will be targeting young adults who may enjoy traveling as well as engaging in aesthetic and entertaining videos.

My second idea is a project that I will be starting from scratch. Reading is something that I love and enjoy doing. I have seen and follow many accounts that base their content around books and reading and I am intrigued to create content on my own Instagram platform that will be targeted towards a wide range of ages and well as people in whom enjoy a wide range of book genres. I will try and grow my account by posting regular content (recommendations/ videos/ pictures).

Answer: Create a Bookstagram.

I finally made up my mind! I’m starting a Bookstagram account. Now I have many ideas on how to start this and many people I can get inspiration from. But now I need to focus on the specific content I want to be creating and posting online. This is where I have to start brainstorming….

Ok so I’m going well. I know what kind of content I could post as well as what platform I will be using but I guess now I need to understand who I’m making this content for and why I am I making it?

My Digital Artifact Pitch.

For My digital artifact I will be creating an Instagram profile surrounding and promoting the book and readers community. The aim of my profile is to intrigue individuals who like consuming book content whether it is for enjoyment, information, recommendations or to watch relatable content surrounding books.  My goal is to post regular content that will include, Instagram photos, videos and stories as well as book reviews and recommendations in the comments as well as questions to engage my audience and followers. With the creation of my profile, I am hoping to improve and create a healthy space in which individual and myself will be able to express their thoughts, feelings and opinions on different books and authors by engaging through my content as well as starting conversation on specific books helping people create connections to others through these similar interests. 

Adding Conetnt

I have created my account and am now trying to stay consistent with posting. I have so far posted 3 photos as well as a story. I’m starting to create an aesthetic and am liking the way my platform is looking. I have tried using hashtags as a way to get my content out into the public as well as mentioning a few authors in hopes of getting a little bit of attention.

I have gained a small following since I started, I’m hoping that the more content I put out the more notice this account will gain however because it is only the beginning of this account, I am not expecting much attention yet.
